Mountain Bike Maintenance Course
Goal:
This course is focused on mountain bikes and covers the essential maintenance tasks needed to keep your bike in peak performance, especially for off-road riding.
Course Topics:
Wheels, Tires, and Tubeless Systems:
Wheel inspection and truing
Tubeless tire repair and puncture handling
Tire pressure and adjustments for mountain riding
Drivetrain Maintenance:
Chain wear checks and replacement
Cleaning and lubing drivetrain components
Adjusting derailleurs and fixing chain drop issues
Brake Systems:
Hydraulic brake maintenance, including bleeding
Replacing brake pads
Rotor alignment and cleaning
Frame Care and Control Setup:
Frame inspection for damage after crashes
Adjusting grips, handlebars, and shifters
Pivot point and headset maintenance
Minimum Requirements:
Hydraulic brakes
Tubeless tires
SRAM or Shimano groupset
Bike newer than 2015 (E-bikes are welcome if legal in your area)
